About ADLN
Our Story
At ADLN Veterinary Guidance, we support every kind of veterinary leader such as: practice managers, lead technicians, hospital administrators, veterinarians, office managers, and anyone who guides a team within a clinical setting. Leadership in veterinary medicine comes with many titles, but the challenges often feel the same: feeling alone in decision‑making, navigating conflict, solving complex problems, and trying to grow without a clear support system.
ADLN was created to change that.
Our mission is to provide personal, relatable, caring, and empowering coaching that helps veterinary leaders uncover root issues, build confidence, and strengthen their leadership competencies. Through personalized 1:1 coaching for specific challenges, continued growth of skills, and/or monthly group discussions, we offer a space where leaders can talk openly, gain clarity, and develop practical tools they can use immediately in their clinics.
Just like our logo symbolizes, every leader is on a path shaped by heart, purpose, and growth. Sometimes we need direction, navigation, or simply someone to walk alongside us. At ADLN, we serve as the leaves of support and the blooms of new insight, helping you stay grounded in your passion while moving toward the leader you want to become.
ADLN stands for Advancing Direction and Leadership Navigation, and that’s exactly what we do. We guide veterinary leaders toward clarity, confidence, and sustainable success, ensuring you never have to lead alone.
Join us on this journey of growth, connection, and renewed purpose.

About our founder
Nicole Mathis, CVPM, LVT

ADLN Founder Summary
Most of you probably have no idea who I am, but I'm Nicole Mathis, CVPM, LVT. A lifelong veterinary professional who found her purpose in supporting the people who hold our clinics together: the leaders. Over the years, I realized that what fulfilled me most wasn’t just managing a practice, but helping other veterinary leaders navigate challenges, gain clarity, and grow into their strengths.
My “aha” moment came when a conference buddy reached out, overwhelmed and feeling unheard. After we talked through the issue from a new angle, they told me, “You should keep doing this.” That simple sentence sparked something in me, the realization that coaching wasn’t just something I was good at, but something I was meant to do.
I understand the weight of leadership because I’ve lived it. The loneliness, the pressure, the desire to grow but not knowing where to turn, because I’ve been there. And I know how powerful it is to have someone who listens deeply, sees your strengths clearly, and helps you move forward with confidence.
My values guide everything I do: authenticity, honesty, acceptance, problem‑solving, open‑mindedness, vulnerability, and creating a sense of security for others. I want every client to walk away feeling confident, heard, supported, and never alone in their leadership journey.
Behind all of this, I’m also a mom of four boys with two neurodivergent children and a foster son as a single parent for the past eight years. My only girls are my dogs, Peppar, a bluetick coonhound/cattle dog mix, and Belladonna, a black lab. During these past years, I've been ultimately been responsible for my 100% employee owned, AAHA accredited, Feline Friendly practice of 54 people, serving at the head of my leadership team. During this time, I earned my CVPM, and went back to obtain my LVT. If I could grow through all of that, I know others can too, and I’m here to help them see that in themselves.
Today, through ADLN Veterinary Guidance, I offer personalized coaching and supportive community spaces for veterinary leaders who want to grow, feel heard, and lead with clarity and heart. My goal is simple: to make sure you never have to lead alone.
